Ministri obrane zemalja članica NATO-a, među njima i hrvatski ministar Damir Krstičević, potvrdili su na svom sastanku u četvrtak u Bruxellesu potporu Iraku i jačanju NATO-ove misije obuke iračkih snaga u kojoj će i Hrvatska nastaviti sudjelovati.

Ministar Krstičević rekao je da je Hrvatska prisutna sa 7 vojnika, od kojih su se dvojica vratila kući, a da će se preostalih pet postupno vraćati iz Kuvajta u Irak.

Nakon eskalacije sukoba u Iraku početkom ove godine slijedom američkog napada i ubojstva zapovjednika Iranske revolucionarne garde, Kasima Sulejmanija, Hrvatska je povukla svoje vojnike iz Iraka u Kuvajt, gdje čekaju daljnji razvoj situacije.

"Dogovoreno je da se sve vrati na početno stanje od 4. siječnja, što znači da se nastavlja NATO-ova misija u Iraku. Sinoć je došao dokument iračke vlade u kojem podržava i jamči sigurnost osoblju NATO-a i stoga je donesena odluka da se vojnici postupno vraćaju", rekao je Krstičević.

Na dvodnevnom sastanku ministara obrane NATO-a, koji je završio u četvrtak, bilo je riječi o operacijama i misijama NATO-a, o transatlantskoj suradnji, suradnji između EU-a i NATO-a te u raspodjeli tereta troškova zajedničke obrane.

Hrvatska trenutno sudjeluje s 438 vojnika u sedam operacija potpore miru te u dvije operacije prednje ojačane prisutnosti.

Govoreći o suradnji EU-a i NATO-a, Krstičević je istaknuo da je to iznimno važno te u tom smislu najavio da će se u Splitu  9. lipnja održati konferencija s ciljem jačanja te suradnje. Na toj će konferenciji sudjelovati visoki predstavnici EU-a i Sjedinjenih Država.

Ministri su također razgovarali i o vojnoj vježbi Defender Europe 2020., najvećoj vojnoj europsko-američkoj vježbi u posljednjih 25 godina. Sudjelovat će 37 tisuća vojnika iz zemalja članica NATO-a.

"Američki vojnici doći će u četiri europske luke i biti raspoređeni u šest država. Tu će se testirati kretanje opreme i vojnika. Na poligonima će se voditi vježbe s ciljem jačanja interoperabilnosti. Hrvatska će sudjelovati sa svojim snagama koje su raspoređene u Poljskoj i Litvi", rekao je Krstičević.

Uz sudjelovanje na dvodnevnom sastanku ministara obrane NATO-a, Krstičević je u Bruxellesu održao i odvojene bilateralne sastanke s poljskim ministrom Mariuszom Blaszczakom i litavskim ministrom Raimundasom Karoblisom.

MInistar Krstičević je izrazio zadovoljstvo što mu je poljski ministar obrane Mariusz Blaszczak potvrdio sudjelovanje poljskih zračnih snaga na prvom međunarodnom vojnom aeromitingu CROIMAS, koji će se održati 30. svibnja ove godine u Zadru prigodom proslave tridesete obljetnice hrvatske državnosti.

Krstičević je rekao da su svoje sudjelovanje do sada potvrdili Francuzi, Talijani, Austrijanci, Švicarci i Poljaci.

"Hrvatska je 1990-tih bila sama, ali danas više nije. Bit će to spektakl kakav Hrvatska zaslužuje kako bismo odali zahvalnost svim hrvatskim braniteljima, ogromnoj žrtvi koja je plaćena za hrvatsku slobodu", rekao je.

Ministri obrane zemalja članica NATO-a, među njima i hrvatski ministar Damir Krstičević, potvrdili su na svom sastanku u četvrtak u Bruxellesu potporu Iraku i jačanju NATO-ove misije obuke iračkih snaga u kojoj će i Hrvatska nastaviti sudjelovati.

Ministar Krstičević rekao je da je Hrvatska prisutna sa 7 vojnika, od kojih su se dvojica vratila kući, a da će se preostalih pet postupno vraćati iz Kuvajta u Irak.

Nakon eskalacije sukoba u Iraku početkom ove godine slijedom američkog napada i ubojstva zapovjednika Iranske revolucionarne garde, Kasima Sulejmanija, Hrvatska je povukla svoje vojnike iz Iraka u Kuvajt, gdje čekaju daljnji razvoj situacije.

"Dogovoreno je da se sve vrati na početno stanje od 4. siječnja, što znači da se nastavlja NATO-ova misija u Iraku. Sinoć je došao dokument iračke vlade u kojem podržava i jamči sigurnost osoblju NATO-a i stoga je donesena odluka da se vojnici postupno vraćaju", rekao je Krstičević.

Na dvodnevnom sastanku ministara obrane NATO-a, koji je završio u četvrtak, bilo je riječi o operacijama i misijama NATO-a, o transatlantskoj suradnji, suradnji između EU-a i NATO-a te u raspodjeli tereta troškova zajedničke obrane.

Hrvatska trenutno sudjeluje s 438 vojnika u sedam operacija potpore miru te u dvije operacije prednje ojačane prisutnosti.

Govoreći o suradnji EU-a i NATO-a, Krstičević je istaknuo da je to iznimno važno te u tom smislu najavio da će se u Splitu  9. lipnja održati konferencija s ciljem jačanja te suradnje. Na toj će konferenciji sudjelovati visoki predstavnici EU-a i Sjedinjenih Država.

Ministri su također razgovarali i o vojnoj vježbi Defender Europe 2020., najvećoj vojnoj europsko-američkoj vježbi u posljednjih 25 godina. Sudjelovat će 37 tisuća vojnika iz zemalja članica NATO-a.

"Američki vojnici doći će u četiri europske luke i biti raspoređeni u šest država. Tu će se testirati kretanje opreme i vojnika. Na poligonima će se voditi vježbe s ciljem jačanja interoperabilnosti. Hrvatska će sudjelovati sa svojim snagama koje su raspoređene u Poljskoj i Litvi", rekao je Krstičević.

Uz sudjelovanje na dvodnevnom sastanku ministara obrane NATO-a, Krstičević je u Bruxellesu održao i odvojene bilateralne sastanke s poljskim ministrom Mariuszom Blaszczakom i litavskim ministrom Raimundasom Karoblisom.

MInistar Krstičević je izrazio zadovoljstvo što mu je poljski ministar obrane Mariusz Blaszczak potvrdio sudjelovanje poljskih zračnih snaga na prvom međunarodnom vojnom aeromitingu CROIMAS, koji će se održati 30. svibnja ove godine u Zadru prigodom proslave tridesete obljetnice hrvatske državnosti.

Krstičević je rekao da su svoje sudjelovanje do sada potvrdili Francuzi, Talijani, Austrijanci, Švicarci i Poljaci.

"Hrvatska je 1990-tih bila sama, ali danas više nije. Bit će to spektakl kakav Hrvatska zaslužuje kako bismo odali zahvalnost svim hrvatskim braniteljima, ogromnoj žrtvi koja je plaćena za hrvatsku slobodu", rekao je.

Krstičević vraća vojnike u Irak, najavio i veliki aeromiting u Zadru: ‘Bit će to spektakl!‘

Ministri obrane zemalja članica NATO-a, među njima i hrvatski ministar Damir Krstičević, potvrdili su na svom sastanku u četvrtak u Bruxellesu potporu Iraku i jačanju NATO-ove misije obuke iračkih snaga u kojoj će i Hrvatska nastaviti sudjelovati.

Ministar Krstičević rekao je da je Hrvatska prisutna sa 7 vojnika, od kojih su se dvojica vratila kući, a da će se preostalih pet postupno vraćati iz Kuvajta u Irak.

Nakon eskalacije sukoba u Iraku početkom ove godine slijedom američkog napada i ubojstva zapovjednika Iranske revolucionarne garde, Kasima Sulejmanija, Hrvatska je povukla svoje vojnike iz Iraka u Kuvajt, gdje čekaju daljnji razvoj situacije.
