Smisao za humor nije nagnuće koje se posebno njeguje po župnim dvorovima i samostanima. Zauzeta pitanjima vječnosti, Crkva je pretežno namrgođena, u čemu, očekivano, prednjače biskupi na čijim je plećima najveća odgovornost za boljitak vjerničkog stada. Pa ipak, nekidan su me uspjeli nasmijati kao da su komičari od formata i karijere, a ne povučeni, tihi i poslovično suzdržani visoki prelati. Način na koji su otkantali Milanovića i njegovo pacersko udvaranje, taj kolosalni odjeb koji su lansirali (da se poslužim glasovitom TBF-ovskom frazom) natjerao me u glasan kikot.

A kako i ne bi kad je samo koji dan ranije u jednom televizijskom intervjuu, predsjednik Republike urbi et orbi, da ga cio katolički svijet razumije, svečano prisegnuo da ne misli dovoditi u pitanje Vatikanske ugovore, pohvalivši se pritom da ima dobre odnose s Crkvom. Tragično podcijenivši galantarski moral kikaša i matana odjevenih u talare i s biretima na glavi, on je, siroče, pomislio da je dovoljno iskazati pokornost organizaciji da bi mu ona uzvratila blagoslovom. Kao da tih nekoliko praznih riječi mogu nadjačati desetljeća skladne, dosljedno monogamne veze koju je Crkva održavala s HDZ-om, pretvarajući laičku partiju u svoje istureno, operativno krilo ropski podložno Kaptolu.

Nikad, naravno, nije bilo ni najmanje sumnje za koga se kler zauzima i u čije ime agitira. No svojedobno su biskupi imali malo više šlifa, pa su svoje de jure preporuke, a de facto naloge vjerničkome mnoštvu zaklanjali maglovitim frazama. Svećenicima su puštali na volju da s oltara, ako žele – a itekako su željeli! - budu izravni i nedvosmisleni, a sami su se klonili otvorenog uplitanja u izbornu utakmicu. Ohrabreni, valjda, činjenicom da nijedna ozbiljna politička snaga u zemlji više ne želi dovoditi u pitanje povlašteni položaj Crkve, sada su se, pak, otvoreno svrstali na stranu HDZ-a.

Korisne anomalije

Time se nisu samo narugali naivcima poput Milanovića, nego i pokazali svoje mišiće. Ispravno procijenivši da svoju umiješanost u politički život više ne trebaju skrivati, oni su vjernicima nedvosmisleno ukazali što im je činiti, a nevjernicima pokazali da je njihov otpor klerikalizaciji zemlje uzaludan.

Već mjesecima i godinama naši nas priučeni vatikanolozi pokušavaju uvjeriti da reformistički raspoloženi papa Franjo u mirovinu posprema okorjele konzervativce, a na njihova mjesta postavlja mlade, sofisticirane, moderne kadrove s intelektualnom širinom, ekumenski orijentirane i zainteresirane za konstruktivan dijalog s drugima i drukčijima, te da će se koncilski duh aggiornamenta konačno, sa zakašnjenjem od skoro šezdeset godina, i kod nas početi širiti. Taj famozni koračić naprijed sada se, međutim, ispostavio kao zastrašujuće veliki korak unatrag. Poneki disonantni glas u Crkvi, poput onoga nadbiskupa Uzinića, niti jest niti može biti shvaćen kao nagovještaj promjena. On samo potvrđuje da u svakom velikom sustavu postoje anomalije koje, na dulje staze, mogu biti vrlo korisne, jer na životu održavaju tanušni privid kako su pomaci ipak mogući. Tako i dobri pastir Mate nehotice služi interesima svojih najrigidnijih kolega, jer ga, po potrebi, uvijek mogu izvući kao dobrodošao argument protiv kritika da je Crkva jednoumna, neslobodna, moralno korumpirana i zauzeta samo pitanjima vlastite materijalne i društvene moći.

Smisao za humor nije nagnuće koje se posebno njeguje po župnim dvorovima i samostanima. Zauzeta pitanjima vječnosti, Crkva je pretežno namrgođena, u čemu, očekivano, prednjače biskupi na čijim je plećima najveća odgovornost za boljitak vjerničkog stada. Pa ipak, nekidan su me uspjeli nasmijati kao da su komičari od formata i karijere, a ne povučeni, tihi i poslovično suzdržani visoki prelati. Način na koji su otkantali Milanovića i njegovo pacersko udvaranje, taj kolosalni odjeb koji su lansirali (da se poslužim glasovitom TBF-ovskom frazom) natjerao me u glasan kikot.

A kako i ne bi kad je samo koji dan ranije u jednom televizijskom intervjuu, predsjednik Republike urbi et orbi, da ga cio katolički svijet razumije, svečano prisegnuo da ne misli dovoditi u pitanje Vatikanske ugovore, pohvalivši se pritom da ima dobre odnose s Crkvom. Tragično podcijenivši galantarski moral kikaša i matana odjevenih u talare i s biretima na glavi, on je, siroče, pomislio da je dovoljno iskazati pokornost organizaciji da bi mu ona uzvratila blagoslovom. Kao da tih nekoliko praznih riječi mogu nadjačati desetljeća skladne, dosljedno monogamne veze koju je Crkva održavala s HDZ-om, pretvarajući laičku partiju u svoje istureno, operativno krilo ropski podložno Kaptolu.

Nikad, naravno, nije bilo ni najmanje sumnje za koga se kler zauzima i u čije ime agitira. No svojedobno su biskupi imali malo više šlifa, pa su svoje de jure preporuke, a de facto naloge vjerničkome mnoštvu zaklanjali maglovitim frazama. Svećenicima su puštali na volju da s oltara, ako žele – a itekako su željeli! - budu izravni i nedvosmisleni, a sami su se klonili otvorenog uplitanja u izbornu utakmicu. Ohrabreni, valjda, činjenicom da nijedna ozbiljna politička snaga u zemlji više ne želi dovoditi u pitanje povlašteni položaj Crkve, sada su se, pak, otvoreno svrstali na stranu HDZ-a.

Korisne anomalije

Time se nisu samo narugali naivcima poput Milanovića, nego i pokazali svoje mišiće. Ispravno procijenivši da svoju umiješanost u politički život više ne trebaju skrivati, oni su vjernicima nedvosmisleno ukazali što im je činiti, a nevjernicima pokazali da je njihov otpor klerikalizaciji zemlje uzaludan.

Već mjesecima i godinama naši nas priučeni vatikanolozi pokušavaju uvjeriti da reformistički raspoloženi papa Franjo u mirovinu posprema okorjele konzervativce, a na njihova mjesta postavlja mlade, sofisticirane, moderne kadrove s intelektualnom širinom, ekumenski orijentirane i zainteresirane za konstruktivan dijalog s drugima i drukčijima, te da će se koncilski duh aggiornamenta konačno, sa zakašnjenjem od skoro šezdeset godina, i kod nas početi širiti. Taj famozni koračić naprijed sada se, međutim, ispostavio kao zastrašujuće veliki korak unatrag. Poneki disonantni glas u Crkvi, poput onoga nadbiskupa Uzinića, niti jest niti može biti shvaćen kao nagovještaj promjena. On samo potvrđuje da u svakom velikom sustavu postoje anomalije koje, na dulje staze, mogu biti vrlo korisne, jer na životu održavaju tanušni privid kako su pomaci ipak mogući. Tako i dobri pastir Mate nehotice služi interesima svojih najrigidnijih kolega, jer ga, po potrebi, uvijek mogu izvući kao dobrodošao argument protiv kritika da je Crkva jednoumna, neslobodna, moralno korumpirana i zauzeta samo pitanjima vlastite materijalne i društvene moći.
