Pitanje za... ne milijun dolara, nego 690 kuna, dakle niti sto eura: biste li za tu cijenu kupili box set s osam "longplejki" pod "kriptičnim" naslovom "Aq Total Vinyl 01-08 Alenovo"?

Ako vam to ovako ništa ne znači, na prvi pogled ustanovit ćete da izgleda jako dobro (dizajn Dubravke Zglavnik Horvat), dok drugi i podrobniji već otkriva razne hrvatske autore i izvođače urbane klupske glazbe, koji su se ugodno razbaškarili na osam "starinskih" vinila, i to prvi put ikad: Jinx, Songkillers, The Bastardz, Cubismo, Yammat, Mayales, Detour, Boris Štok, Nipplepeople, Mangroove, Swingers, U pol'9 kod Sabe, Pocket Palma...

Svi oni, naime, za svoje su nosače zvuka imali samo CD-ove s etiketom "Aquarius Recordsa", u eri koja je već bila otpravila gramofone iz tinejdžerskih soba, e da bi se "plejke" sad vratile kao šmekerski, da ne kažem – šminkerski, predmet čežnje kolekcionara i posebno zadrtih audiofila, pa CD-ove učinile zastarjelijima od svog tehnološkog prethodnika.

Evo, da vam odmah pošteno priznam – ja ne bih. Kupio. Imam ga kao playlistu na Spotifyu, a nisam vinilonostalgičar; sadržaj mi je uvijek ispred platforme, što lakše dostupne, to bolje.

Bogata zbirka

No, autori ove bogate zbirke pjesama izdanih u zadnjih 25 godina imaju uvjerljive razloge za ovaj izdavački pothvat, a oni su, jednom riječju, memorijalni. U dva smisla. Najprije, htjeli su da u doba nestabilnih "oblaka" i streaming servisa ovi tonski zapisi ostanu kao trag utisnut u "čvrstom" formatu, pogodni i za DJ eksploataciju.

A potom su, s preranom smrću jednog od suosnivača "Aquariusa" i radija Yammat FM, Alena Balena, LP-jevi iz kutije postali doslovce spomen-ploče velikom začinjavcu i promotoru hrvatske klupske scene od sredine devedesetih naovamo.

Kad ovako na "gomilici" malo bolje poslušate čega se sve tu nakupilo u četvrt stoljeća, postanete svjesni težine i značenja Balena i ostatka kreativne ekipe oko "Aquariusa".

Ideja je bila na početku, kada su ove ploče bile "otisnute" i pojedinačno – a zadržana je do kraja – da se na vinil stave kao trajni zapisi najbolje klupske snimke koje je "Aquarius" objavio. A toga je bilo stvarno puno.

Unutra, istina, ima i world musica i rocka, ali onih koji glatko prolaze ispit puštanja u klubovima ili na tulumima. Poput, recimo, mlađahnih rockera iz Kino kluba, benda koji se u jednom kratkom razdoblju pokušao nametnuti kao hrvatska inačica Green Daya.

Ili otočnog rocka Šo!Mazgoona, Gegota i Picigin banda te Ljetnog kina, zasebno i u sjajnim kolaboracijama s pokojnim Vladom Divljanom. A onda odjednom naletite na Gabi Novak, s "povratničkog" jazzy albuma s početka milenija, koji ju je s rearanžiranim standardima iz obiteljske radionice Dedić "otkrio" novim generacijama koje su se tada, recimo, bile zakačile na Norah Jones.

U "Aquariusu" se "ponovno izmislio" i Oliver Dragojević, koji je na "Alenovu" zastupljen s vrlo zanimljivim "summer remixom" Erica Destlera – "U mom zagrljaju". Tu je, ako ćemo probrati još nešto s "dalmoškim" predznakom, a opet tako univerzalno prihvatljivo – Leut Magnetic s "Vecchia Cola" i "Evo me doma". Od komercijalno potentnijih današnjih izvođača tu su Massimo i Nina Badrić...

'Rasuti teret'

"Longplejke" nisu zasebno tematizirane, a samo je posljednji vinil u tom nizu tematski posvećen samom Alenu Balenu, nakon njegove iznenadne smrti u 47. godini. Stoga su na njemu i neke najranije produkcije koje se također nalaze na dotad već objavljenim vinilima, kao i snimke koje je Balen objavio za svoj "label" izvan "Aquariusa", ali je s njegovom obitelji dogovoreno da i te snimke dobiju trajni fizički trag ("track").

Pisati klasičnu "recenziju" boxa "Aq Total Vinyl 01-08 Alenovo" (sad su nam sve "šifre" iz naslova jasne) bilo bi možda preuzetno, već zbog same "rasutosti tereta" na ovom nosaču zvuka i njegove prethodne poznatosti.

A zapravo bi to morala biti priča o urbanoj, klupskoj glazbi u Hrvatskoj, koja je već u devedesetima dokazala kako svjetska relevantnost ovdašnje scene nije stala s novim valom iz prethodne dekade, a zapravo traje i dosad, iako samo u toj "niši" koja, nažalost, nije preuzela vrhove top lista kao vani. No, i na ovaj način je "verificirana" kao trajna vrijednost.

Primjerice, album Mayalesa "Svima želim raj za sve", objavljen još 1999., sa sjajnim pjesmama poput "Od ljubavi" ili "Mogu i sama", u kontekstu hrvatskog "mainstreama" s top lista i do danas zvuči "nestvarno".

Baš kao i prvi albumi "Cubisma", a naročito onaj snimljen uživo u "Gavelli", s Balenom kao izvršnim producentom, te kremom newyorške salsa scene u gostima. Alen Balen bio je i producent prvih albuma Jinxa, Songkillersa, grupe Sane, remiksirao je mnoge zvijezde "Aquariusa", a kompletni opusi bendova Nipplepeople, Yammat ili DasWegas nose u sebi njegov snažan potpis.

Koga, čega? – prezrivo će "otfrknuti" preziratelji ovih navodno "nenarodnih" zvukova koji ne pune arene. No, legenda živi usprkos tome.

Jer, kao što poručuju iz samog "Aquariusa", Balen je "upravljao karijerama projekata koji su se isticali modernošću zvuka. Nerijetko su ih u lokalnim okvirima proglašavali avangardnima, ali su zapravo uvijek bili u suglasju s najprogresivnijim globalnim trendovima".

I uopće ne sumnjam da će uspjeti nadživjeti neke današnje, vazda mutirajuće, pogubne glazbene viruse, ma koliko se oni raširili po "glavnoj struji". Ima nas dovoljno koji ćemo se svake sezone dati iznova "cijepiti" blagotvornim cjepivom poput ovog "vodenjačkog".

Pitanje za... ne milijun dolara, nego 690 kuna, dakle niti sto eura: biste li za tu cijenu kupili box set s osam "longplejki" pod "kriptičnim" naslovom "Aq Total Vinyl 01-08 Alenovo"?

Ako vam to ovako ništa ne znači, na prvi pogled ustanovit ćete da izgleda jako dobro (dizajn Dubravke Zglavnik Horvat), dok drugi i podrobniji već otkriva razne hrvatske autore i izvođače urbane klupske glazbe, koji su se ugodno razbaškarili na osam "starinskih" vinila, i to prvi put ikad: Jinx, Songkillers, The Bastardz, Cubismo, Yammat, Mayales, Detour, Boris Štok, Nipplepeople, Mangroove, Swingers, U pol'9 kod Sabe, Pocket Palma...

Svi oni, naime, za svoje su nosače zvuka imali samo CD-ove s etiketom "Aquarius Recordsa", u eri koja je već bila otpravila gramofone iz tinejdžerskih soba, e da bi se "plejke" sad vratile kao šmekerski, da ne kažem – šminkerski, predmet čežnje kolekcionara i posebno zadrtih audiofila, pa CD-ove učinile zastarjelijima od svog tehnološkog prethodnika.

Evo, da vam odmah pošteno priznam – ja ne bih. Kupio. Imam ga kao playlistu na Spotifyu, a nisam vinilonostalgičar; sadržaj mi je uvijek ispred platforme, što lakše dostupne, to bolje.

Bogata zbirka

No, autori ove bogate zbirke pjesama izdanih u zadnjih 25 godina imaju uvjerljive razloge za ovaj izdavački pothvat, a oni su, jednom riječju, memorijalni. U dva smisla. Najprije, htjeli su da u doba nestabilnih "oblaka" i streaming servisa ovi tonski zapisi ostanu kao trag utisnut u "čvrstom" formatu, pogodni i za DJ eksploataciju.

A potom su, s preranom smrću jednog od suosnivača "Aquariusa" i radija Yammat FM, Alena Balena, LP-jevi iz kutije postali doslovce spomen-ploče velikom začinjavcu i promotoru hrvatske klupske scene od sredine devedesetih naovamo.

Kad ovako na "gomilici" malo bolje poslušate čega se sve tu nakupilo u četvrt stoljeća, postanete svjesni težine i značenja Balena i ostatka kreativne ekipe oko "Aquariusa".

Ideja je bila na početku, kada su ove ploče bile "otisnute" i pojedinačno – a zadržana je do kraja – da se na vinil stave kao trajni zapisi najbolje klupske snimke koje je "Aquarius" objavio. A toga je bilo stvarno puno.

Unutra, istina, ima i world musica i rocka, ali onih koji glatko prolaze ispit puštanja u klubovima ili na tulumima. Poput, recimo, mlađahnih rockera iz Kino kluba, benda koji se u jednom kratkom razdoblju pokušao nametnuti kao hrvatska inačica Green Daya.

Ili otočnog rocka Šo!Mazgoona, Gegota i Picigin banda te Ljetnog kina, zasebno i u sjajnim kolaboracijama s pokojnim Vladom Divljanom. A onda odjednom naletite na Gabi Novak, s "povratničkog" jazzy albuma s početka milenija, koji ju je s rearanžiranim standardima iz obiteljske radionice Dedić "otkrio" novim generacijama koje su se tada, recimo, bile zakačile na Norah Jones.

U "Aquariusu" se "ponovno izmislio" i Oliver Dragojević, koji je na "Alenovu" zastupljen s vrlo zanimljivim "summer remixom" Erica Destlera – "U mom zagrljaju". Tu je, ako ćemo probrati još nešto s "dalmoškim" predznakom, a opet tako univerzalno prihvatljivo – Leut Magnetic s "Vecchia Cola" i "Evo me doma". Od komercijalno potentnijih današnjih izvođača tu su Massimo i Nina Badrić...

'Rasuti teret'

"Longplejke" nisu zasebno tematizirane, a samo je posljednji vinil u tom nizu tematski posvećen samom Alenu Balenu, nakon njegove iznenadne smrti u 47. godini. Stoga su na njemu i neke najranije produkcije koje se također nalaze na dotad već objavljenim vinilima, kao i snimke koje je Balen objavio za svoj "label" izvan "Aquariusa", ali je s njegovom obitelji dogovoreno da i te snimke dobiju trajni fizički trag ("track").

Pisati klasičnu "recenziju" boxa "Aq Total Vinyl 01-08 Alenovo" (sad su nam sve "šifre" iz naslova jasne) bilo bi možda preuzetno, već zbog same "rasutosti tereta" na ovom nosaču zvuka i njegove prethodne poznatosti.

A zapravo bi to morala biti priča o urbanoj, klupskoj glazbi u Hrvatskoj, koja je već u devedesetima dokazala kako svjetska relevantnost ovdašnje scene nije stala s novim valom iz prethodne dekade, a zapravo traje i dosad, iako samo u toj "niši" koja, nažalost, nije preuzela vrhove top lista kao vani. No, i na ovaj način je "verificirana" kao trajna vrijednost.

Primjerice, album Mayalesa "Svima želim raj za sve", objavljen još 1999., sa sjajnim pjesmama poput "Od ljubavi" ili "Mogu i sama", u kontekstu hrvatskog "mainstreama" s top lista i do danas zvuči "nestvarno".

Baš kao i prvi albumi "Cubisma", a naročito onaj snimljen uživo u "Gavelli", s Balenom kao izvršnim producentom, te kremom newyorške salsa scene u gostima. Alen Balen bio je i producent prvih albuma Jinxa, Songkillersa, grupe Sane, remiksirao je mnoge zvijezde "Aquariusa", a kompletni opusi bendova Nipplepeople, Yammat ili DasWegas nose u sebi njegov snažan potpis.

Koga, čega? – prezrivo će "otfrknuti" preziratelji ovih navodno "nenarodnih" zvukova koji ne pune arene. No, legenda živi usprkos tome.

Jer, kao što poručuju iz samog "Aquariusa", Balen je "upravljao karijerama projekata koji su se isticali modernošću zvuka. Nerijetko su ih u lokalnim okvirima proglašavali avangardnima, ali su zapravo uvijek bili u suglasju s najprogresivnijim globalnim trendovima".

I uopće ne sumnjam da će uspjeti nadživjeti neke današnje, vazda mutirajuće, pogubne glazbene viruse, ma koliko se oni raširili po "glavnoj struji". Ima nas dovoljno koji ćemo se svake sezone dati iznova "cijepiti" blagotvornim cjepivom poput ovog "vodenjačkog".
