Stanovnici hvarske Jelse su ovih dana ostali u čudu kada su već na prvi pogled uočili strance da rade na obnavljanju nogostupa na potezu od zelene tržnice do Velog parka.
Pločnik koji je davno postavljen i desetljećima korišten, djelomično se deformirao, a mjesto je turističko i ima ambiciju da bude oku ugodno, pa ga valja urediti. Bijela kuga je opasna po škoj, mnogi su otišli "trbuhom za kruhom", pa valjda sada nema tko raditi u građevinarstvu, u ugostiteljstvu, turizmu...
A ima i onih koji očito misle da su predodređeni samo za fine poslove, pitamo se kako li će tek onda "administrativci" iz "Zagrebačkog holdinga" prihvatiti ono što im je namijenio gradonačelnik Tomislav Tomašević. Govori se da je već pripremljeno oko 700 otkaza i zamislite čak rukovoditeljima nudi mjesta gradskih škovacina...
No, vratimo se mi jelšanskom pločniku. Radove na obnovi, kako doznajemo na gradilištu, izvodi građevinski obrt "Fjord" iz Gdinja na Hvaru, a zaposleni inozemni radnici su stigli čak iz Indije. Njih petorica su na Otok sunca doputovali prije pet-šest mjeseci preko agencije koja ih, kako se može čuti, nije baš dobro ni informirala kamo idu, ni što će raditi u Lijepoj našoj.
Što je tu je, kada su ovamo stigli valjalo je prihvatiti ono što im se nudi. Zanimljivo je da jedan od njih tvrdi da je bio ravnatelj škole u svojoj zemlji, govori dva svjetska jezika, ali je i u mnogoljudnoj Indiji zavladala pandemija, pa je morao u svijet da zaradi koru kruha za svoju obitelj.
Kod nas imaju kakvu-takvu plaću, smještaj i marendu, pa će valjda u konačnici nešto i uštedjeti za slanje kući.
Poteštat Nikša Peronja ističe da je to tek početak obnavljanja nogostupa sve do Trga Tome Gamulina, cestovnih površina, taksi stajališta i parkinga za osobe s invaliditetom duž parka, što će stanovnike općine ukupno koštati oko pola milijuna kuna. Radovi se realiziraju u suradnji sa Županijskom upravom za ceste i bit će završeni tijekom ove zime, a slijedi i druga faza uređenja mjesne rive.
Riječ je o središnjem i najfrekventnijem dijelu općinskog središta, od kale prema crkvici sv. Ivana do Obćinskoga doma, za koji se ovih dana očekuje otvaranje natječaja.
To je, kako dodaje načelnik, krucijalni projekt u mjestu, vrijedan 1,1 milijun kuna, koji uz uređenje pješačke zone uključuje hortikulturno uređenje, urbanu opremu i javnu rasvjetu da bi Jelsa već početkom ljeta u novom ruhu dočakela svoje prve turističke laste.

Stanovnici hvarske Jelse su ovih dana ostali u čudu kada su već na prvi pogled uočili strance da rade na obnavljanju nogostupa na potezu od zelene tržnice do Velog parka.
Pločnik koji je davno postavljen i desetljećima korišten, djelomično se deformirao, a mjesto je turističko i ima ambiciju da bude oku ugodno, pa ga valja urediti. Bijela kuga je opasna po škoj, mnogi su otišli "trbuhom za kruhom", pa valjda sada nema tko raditi u građevinarstvu, u ugostiteljstvu, turizmu...
A ima i onih koji očito misle da su predodređeni samo za fine poslove, pitamo se kako li će tek onda "administrativci" iz "Zagrebačkog holdinga" prihvatiti ono što im je namijenio gradonačelnik Tomislav Tomašević. Govori se da je već pripremljeno oko 700 otkaza i zamislite čak rukovoditeljima nudi mjesta gradskih škovacina...
No, vratimo se mi jelšanskom pločniku. Radove na obnovi, kako doznajemo na gradilištu, izvodi građevinski obrt "Fjord" iz Gdinja na Hvaru, a zaposleni inozemni radnici su stigli čak iz Indije. Njih petorica su na Otok sunca doputovali prije pet-šest mjeseci preko agencije koja ih, kako se može čuti, nije baš dobro ni informirala kamo idu, ni što će raditi u Lijepoj našoj.
Što je tu je, kada su ovamo stigli valjalo je prihvatiti ono što im se nudi. Zanimljivo je da jedan od njih tvrdi da je bio ravnatelj škole u svojoj zemlji, govori dva svjetska jezika, ali je i u mnogoljudnoj Indiji zavladala pandemija, pa je morao u svijet da zaradi koru kruha za svoju obitelj.
Kod nas imaju kakvu-takvu plaću, smještaj i marendu, pa će valjda u konačnici nešto i uštedjeti za slanje kući.
Poteštat Nikša Peronja ističe da je to tek početak obnavljanja nogostupa sve do Trga Tome Gamulina, cestovnih površina, taksi stajališta i parkinga za osobe s invaliditetom duž parka, što će stanovnike općine ukupno koštati oko pola milijuna kuna. Radovi se realiziraju u suradnji sa Županijskom upravom za ceste i bit će završeni tijekom ove zime, a slijedi i druga faza uređenja mjesne rive.
Riječ je o središnjem i najfrekventnijem dijelu općinskog središta, od kale prema crkvici sv. Ivana do Obćinskoga doma, za koji se ovih dana očekuje otvaranje natječaja.
To je, kako dodaje načelnik, krucijalni projekt u mjestu, vrijedan 1,1 milijun kuna, koji uz uređenje pješačke zone uključuje hortikulturno uređenje, urbanu opremu i javnu rasvjetu da bi Jelsa već početkom ljeta u novom ruhu dočakela svoje prve turističke laste.
