Bravo, Duje! Mladi splitski tenisač Duje Ajduković plasirao se u finale jakog Challengera u francuskom Quimperu pobjedom nad domaćim predstavnikom Haroldom Mayotom od 7:6 (5), 6:3, na putu do trofeja čeka ga još jedan domaći reket, deset godina stariji Pierre Hugues Herbert koji na putu do finala nije izgubio ni jedan set.

Lijepi je ovo uspjeh za 22-godišnjeg Splićanina koji je izborio završni meč iako je bio postavljen tek za devetog nositelja. U polufnalu su se našla trojica Francuza i naš Duje, ostali su još samo on i Herbert.

Meč protiv Mayota bio je "lud", da luđi ne može biti. U prvom setu Duje je poveo s 5:3, ali je prosuo prednost, da bi se u tie-breaku našao u naizgled izgubljenoj situaciji. Gubio je 0:5, piši propalo. No, onda se dogodio mirkaul, Duje je nanizao sedam poena u nizu, dobio tie-break sa 7:5, dobio i drugi set i izborio finale.

Bodovi osvojeni na tvrdoj podlozi Quimpera donijet će Duji novi najbolji ranking karijere, sadašnje 141. mjesto već sada zamijenit će sa 125., osvoji li turnir skočit će na otprilike 110. poziciju ATP liste. A prošle godine u ovo vrijeme bio je ispod 500. mjesta. Bravo! Top 100 samo što nije.

Bravo, Duje! Mladi splitski tenisač Duje Ajduković plasirao se u finale jakog Challengera u francuskom Quimperu pobjedom nad domaćim predstavnikom Haroldom Mayotom od 7:6 (5), 6:3, na putu do trofeja čeka ga još jedan domaći reket, deset godina stariji Pierre Hugues Herbert koji na putu do finala nije izgubio ni jedan set.

Lijepi je ovo uspjeh za 22-godišnjeg Splićanina koji je izborio završni meč iako je bio postavljen tek za devetog nositelja. U polufnalu su se našla trojica Francuza i naš Duje, ostali su još samo on i Herbert.

Meč protiv Mayota bio je "lud", da luđi ne može biti. U prvom setu Duje je poveo s 5:3, ali je prosuo prednost, da bi se u tie-breaku našao u naizgled izgubljenoj situaciji. Gubio je 0:5, piši propalo. No, onda se dogodio mirkaul, Duje je nanizao sedam poena u nizu, dobio tie-break sa 7:5, dobio i drugi set i izborio finale.

Bodovi osvojeni na tvrdoj podlozi Quimpera donijet će Duji novi najbolji ranking karijere, sadašnje 141. mjesto već sada zamijenit će sa 125., osvoji li turnir skočit će na otprilike 110. poziciju ATP liste. A prošle godine u ovo vrijeme bio je ispod 500. mjesta. Bravo! Top 100 samo što nije.
