Zastupnik u Europskom parlamentu Tonino Picula odlučio je po drugi put zaredom nominirati Hrvatsku udrugu Transplant za nagradu „European Citizen's Prize“ (Europski građanin), koju Europski parlament svake godine dodjeljuje istaknutim pojedincima, udrugama i organizacijama koji međusobno dijele iznimna postignuća u svom radu i predanost promociji europske suradnje i zajedničkih vrijednosti.
Obzirom na iznimnu važnost ove nagrade koju Europski parlament dodjeljuje od 2008.godine, Picula je odlučio ponoviti nominaciju jer je zbog sustavnog rada ove udruge, Hrvatska već godinama među prve tri zemlje u svijetu po broju darivatelja i obavljenih transplantacija organa.
- U Hrvatskoj danas živi oko 4.000 osoba s presađenim organima, na presađivanje čeka nešto više od 300 osoba dok godišnje umire preko 200 ljudi ne dočekavši transplantaciju, upozorio je Picula objašnjavajući nominaciju, te dodao da je cilj rada udruge Transplant povećanje broja transplantacija, poticanje pojedinaca na brigu o vlastitom zdravlju i kreiranje zdravstvene politike. U njoj aktivno djeluje pedesetak volontera, a u aktivnostima sudjeluje i više stotina aktivista i stručnih suradnika.
Udruga Transplant osnovana je 2005. godine i okuplja transplantirane pacijente: one na listi čekanja, članove njihovih obitelji i prijatelje te zdravstvene radnike s područja transplantacije s ciljem promicanja darivanja i presađivanja organa. Uz podršku partnera, 2009. godine Udruga je osnovala "Kuću života Zagreb", prostor namijenjen radu udruga i smještaju osoba koje dolaze na liječenje i kontrolu u neki od transplantacijskih centara u Zagrebu.
- Europski građanin vrijedno je priznanje koje omogućuje kvalitetnim projektima da budu prepoznati ne samo na nacionalnoj već i na europskoj razini zbog čega smatram da Udruga zaslužuje dodatni vjetar u leđa svojem dosadašnjem radu – zaključio je zastupnik Picula.
Podsjećamo, 2015. godine Picula je imao čast uručiti ovo važno priznanje Hrvatskoj gorskoj službi spašavanja u Europskom parlamentu.
HGSS je s velikom radošću nominirao za ovu nagradu jer su istinski primjer solidarnosti koja je, na žalost ,postala tek česta riječ u dokumentima, ali je istovremeno sve manje vidljiva u praksi.

Zastupnik u Europskom parlamentu Tonino Picula odlučio je po drugi put zaredom nominirati Hrvatsku udrugu Transplant za nagradu „European Citizen's Prize“ (Europski građanin), koju Europski parlament svake godine dodjeljuje istaknutim pojedincima, udrugama i organizacijama koji međusobno dijele iznimna postignuća u svom radu i predanost promociji europske suradnje i zajedničkih vrijednosti.
Obzirom na iznimnu važnost ove nagrade koju Europski parlament dodjeljuje od 2008.godine, Picula je odlučio ponoviti nominaciju jer je zbog sustavnog rada ove udruge, Hrvatska već godinama među prve tri zemlje u svijetu po broju darivatelja i obavljenih transplantacija organa.
- U Hrvatskoj danas živi oko 4.000 osoba s presađenim organima, na presađivanje čeka nešto više od 300 osoba dok godišnje umire preko 200 ljudi ne dočekavši transplantaciju, upozorio je Picula objašnjavajući nominaciju, te dodao da je cilj rada udruge Transplant povećanje broja transplantacija, poticanje pojedinaca na brigu o vlastitom zdravlju i kreiranje zdravstvene politike. U njoj aktivno djeluje pedesetak volontera, a u aktivnostima sudjeluje i više stotina aktivista i stručnih suradnika.
Udruga Transplant osnovana je 2005. godine i okuplja transplantirane pacijente: one na listi čekanja, članove njihovih obitelji i prijatelje te zdravstvene radnike s područja transplantacije s ciljem promicanja darivanja i presađivanja organa. Uz podršku partnera, 2009. godine Udruga je osnovala "Kuću života Zagreb", prostor namijenjen radu udruga i smještaju osoba koje dolaze na liječenje i kontrolu u neki od transplantacijskih centara u Zagrebu.
- Europski građanin vrijedno je priznanje koje omogućuje kvalitetnim projektima da budu prepoznati ne samo na nacionalnoj već i na europskoj razini zbog čega smatram da Udruga zaslužuje dodatni vjetar u leđa svojem dosadašnjem radu – zaključio je zastupnik Picula.
Podsjećamo, 2015. godine Picula je imao čast uručiti ovo važno priznanje Hrvatskoj gorskoj službi spašavanja u Europskom parlamentu.
HGSS je s velikom radošću nominirao za ovu nagradu jer su istinski primjer solidarnosti koja je, na žalost ,postala tek česta riječ u dokumentima, ali je istovremeno sve manje vidljiva u praksi.
