Papa Franjo je u nedjelju u Budimpešti odao počast stanovništvu Mađarske, naciji "privrženoj svojim korijenima", no istodobno ih je pozvao "da budu otvoreni" prema svima, u skrivenoj aluziji na antimigrantsku politiku premijera Viktora Orbana.

"Osjećaj vjere žila je kucavica ove nacije, koja je toliko vezana za svoje korijene", rekao je Papa iz svojeg papamobila mnoštvu okupljenih vjernika koji su ga došli pozdraviti. 

"No križ zaboden u zemlju, ne samo da nas poziva da držimo do korijena, već istodobno podiže i pruža ruke prema svima (...), ", kazao je Papa, dodavši kako mu je želja da Mađari budu upravo takvi: da drže do korijena, ali da istodobno budu otvoreni i puni poštovanja. Potom je blagoslov okupljenima uputio na mađarskom: "Isten éltessen!".

Sveti Otac, koji je u Budimpeštu stigao samo nakratko da bi vodio završnu misu Međunarodnoga euharistijskog kongresa, to je kazao tijekom nedjeljnog Angelusa.

Prethodno se susreo s mađarskim premijerom Orbanom, koji ga je dočekao u pratnji predsjednika države Janoša Adera.
Sadržaj njihova razgovora iza zatvorenih vrata nije objavljen, no Orban, koji je protiv prihvata izbjeglica bez obzira na njihovu vjeru, za razliku od Pape koji se za to zalaže, na svom je Facebooku objavio kako je "zamolio Papu da ne dopusti propast kršćana u Mađarskoj".

Sveti Otac je iz Budimpešte  nastavio putovanje prema Slovačkoj gdje se planira zadržati tri dana.

Papa Franjo je u nedjelju u Budimpešti odao počast stanovništvu Mađarske, naciji "privrženoj svojim korijenima", no istodobno ih je pozvao "da budu otvoreni" prema svima, u skrivenoj aluziji na antimigrantsku politiku premijera Viktora Orbana.

"Osjećaj vjere žila je kucavica ove nacije, koja je toliko vezana za svoje korijene", rekao je Papa iz svojeg papamobila mnoštvu okupljenih vjernika koji su ga došli pozdraviti. 

"No križ zaboden u zemlju, ne samo da nas poziva da držimo do korijena, već istodobno podiže i pruža ruke prema svima (...), ", kazao je Papa, dodavši kako mu je želja da Mađari budu upravo takvi: da drže do korijena, ali da istodobno budu otvoreni i puni poštovanja. Potom je blagoslov okupljenima uputio na mađarskom: "Isten éltessen!".

Sveti Otac, koji je u Budimpeštu stigao samo nakratko da bi vodio završnu misu Međunarodnoga euharistijskog kongresa, to je kazao tijekom nedjeljnog Angelusa.

Prethodno se susreo s mađarskim premijerom Orbanom, koji ga je dočekao u pratnji predsjednika države Janoša Adera.
Sadržaj njihova razgovora iza zatvorenih vrata nije objavljen, no Orban, koji je protiv prihvata izbjeglica bez obzira na njihovu vjeru, za razliku od Pape koji se za to zalaže, na svom je Facebooku objavio kako je "zamolio Papu da ne dopusti propast kršćana u Mađarskoj".

Sveti Otac je iz Budimpešte  nastavio putovanje prema Slovačkoj gdje se planira zadržati tri dana.

Papa Franjo je u nedjelju u Budimpešti odao počast stanovništvu Mađarske, naciji "privrženoj svojim korijenima", no istodobno ih je pozvao "da budu otvoreni" prema svima, u skrivenoj aluziji na antimigrantsku politiku premijera Viktora Orbana.

"Osjećaj vjere žila je kucavica ove nacije, koja je toliko vezana za svoje korijene", rekao je Papa iz svojeg papamobila mnoštvu okupljenih vjernika koji su ga došli pozdraviti. 

"No križ zaboden u zemlju, ne samo da nas poziva da držimo do korijena, već istodobno podiže i pruža ruke prema svima (...), ", kazao je Papa, dodavši kako mu je želja da Mađari budu upravo takvi: da drže do korijena, ali da istodobno budu otvoreni i puni poštovanja. Potom je blagoslov okupljenima uputio na mađarskom: "Isten éltessen!".

Sveti Otac, koji je u Budimpeštu stigao samo nakratko da bi vodio završnu misu Međunarodnoga euharistijskog kongresa, to je kazao tijekom nedjeljnog Angelusa.

Prethodno se susreo s mađarskim premijerom Orbanom, koji ga je dočekao u pratnji predsjednika države Janoša Adera.
Sadržaj njihova razgovora iza zatvorenih vrata nije objavljen, no Orban, koji je protiv prihvata izbjeglica bez obzira na njihovu vjeru, za razliku od Pape koji se za to zalaže, na svom je Facebooku objavio kako je "zamolio Papu da ne dopusti propast kršćana u Mađarskoj".

Sveti Otac je iz Budimpešte  nastavio putovanje prema Slovačkoj gdje se planira zadržati tri dana.
