Stanovnici Islanda posljednjih se tjedana svako jutro bude uz potrese. Preko 22.000 potresa zadnjih je dana zatreslo južni Island, a dobro se uzdrmao i glavni grad Reykjavik. Islanski mediji pišu kako zasad nema opasnosti od erupcije vulkana koji je mirovao više od osam stoljeća.

Trešnja na Islandu je započela još 24. veljače kada je potres magnitude 5,7 zatresao tlo oko 32 kilometra od glavnog grada. Epicentar potresa tada je bio dovoljno daleko od naseljenih područja otoka da nije zabilježena matarijalna šteta te nitko nije ozlijeđen.

Islandski list Visir piše kako se sinoć seizmička aktivnosti u Fagradalsfjallu znatno povećala. Najjači potres bio je jačine 5,0 po Richteru noćas u dva sata oko tri kilometra jugozapadno od Fagradalsfjalla. Od ponoći je zabilježeno niz potresa jačine između 3 i 4 stupnja po Richteru.

"Na području potresa u Reykjanesu još uvijek ima puno seizmičkih aktivnosti i ne nazire im se kraj. Od ponoći tamo je zabilježeno blizu 2000 potresa ", rekao je Bryndís Ýr Gísladóttir, specijalist za zaštitu prirode u islandskom Meteorološkom uredu, u razgovoru za Vísir. 

Nema naznaka da su potresi povezani s tamošnjim kretanjima magme, kao što je ranije rečeno. Prema riječima stručnjaka iz Meteorološkog zavoda nisu pronađeni znakovi erupcije.

„Seizmička aktivnost više se preusmjerila na Grindavík, ali prema civilnoj zaštiti i stručnjacima Meteorološkog ureda, tamošnji potresi rezultat su promjena napona u zemljinoj kori, i ne radi se o pomaku magme. Stoga se ne smatra da su oni kratkoročni prediktor erupcije – piše Visir.

Navode kako su ljudi uznemireni stalnim podrhtavanjem tla, što je normalna reakcija, no osim što vlasti građane pozivaju da skinu stvari s polica, ne savjetuje im da napuštaju svoje domove.

Hrvati koji su nam se javili s Islanda kažu da na otoku nema panike.

„Situacija je normalna i pod kontrolom. Nikome nije rečeno da se evakuira na Sjever, i nema apsolutno nikakve panike – kaže nam dvadesetosomogodišnji Splićanin koji radi kao kuhar na Islandu već dvije godine.

Vlasti su izvjestile kako spasilačke ekipe nisu noćas morale pomagati te da nema opasnost za putovanje. U slučaju evakuacije građani će biti obaviješteni, prvo SMS porukama na sve telefone u okolici, zatim vrlo istaknutim zvučnim signalima i na kraju jednostavno kucanjem na vrata.

Islanđani su uznemireni od serije potresa, a što se tiče koronavirusa, tu su prvaci borbe protiv korone.

Njihova je zemlja odavno na karti Europe označena zelenom bojom koja pokazuje najmanjom stopu zaraze, i u njoj više ne umire ni jedan stanovnik od COVID-a.

Dok mi primjerice tjednima čekamo sekvenciranje genoma virusa kako bi utvrdili jesu li se zemljom proširili novi sojevi, njihova biofarmaceutska tvrtka deCODE Genetics zadnjih je 10 mjeseci analizirala svaki pozitivan test korone u zemlji. Cilj je jednostavan, analizirati sve kako im ne bi promaknuo ni jedan novi i problematičan soj. I ne promiče im.

Stanovnici Islanda posljednjih se tjedana svako jutro bude uz potrese. Preko 22.000 potresa zadnjih je dana zatreslo južni Island, a dobro se uzdrmao i glavni grad Reykjavik. Islanski mediji pišu kako zasad nema opasnosti od erupcije vulkana koji je mirovao više od osam stoljeća.

Trešnja na Islandu je započela još 24. veljače kada je potres magnitude 5,7 zatresao tlo oko 32 kilometra od glavnog grada. Epicentar potresa tada je bio dovoljno daleko od naseljenih područja otoka da nije zabilježena matarijalna šteta te nitko nije ozlijeđen.

Islandski list Visir piše kako se sinoć seizmička aktivnosti u Fagradalsfjallu znatno povećala. Najjači potres bio je jačine 5,0 po Richteru noćas u dva sata oko tri kilometra jugozapadno od Fagradalsfjalla. Od ponoći je zabilježeno niz potresa jačine između 3 i 4 stupnja po Richteru.

"Na području potresa u Reykjanesu još uvijek ima puno seizmičkih aktivnosti i ne nazire im se kraj. Od ponoći tamo je zabilježeno blizu 2000 potresa ", rekao je Bryndís Ýr Gísladóttir, specijalist za zaštitu prirode u islandskom Meteorološkom uredu, u razgovoru za Vísir. 

Nema naznaka da su potresi povezani s tamošnjim kretanjima magme, kao što je ranije rečeno. Prema riječima stručnjaka iz Meteorološkog zavoda nisu pronađeni znakovi erupcije.

„Seizmička aktivnost više se preusmjerila na Grindavík, ali prema civilnoj zaštiti i stručnjacima Meteorološkog ureda, tamošnji potresi rezultat su promjena napona u zemljinoj kori, i ne radi se o pomaku magme. Stoga se ne smatra da su oni kratkoročni prediktor erupcije – piše Visir.

Navode kako su ljudi uznemireni stalnim podrhtavanjem tla, što je normalna reakcija, no osim što vlasti građane pozivaju da skinu stvari s polica, ne savjetuje im da napuštaju svoje domove.

Hrvati koji su nam se javili s Islanda kažu da na otoku nema panike.

„Situacija je normalna i pod kontrolom. Nikome nije rečeno da se evakuira na Sjever, i nema apsolutno nikakve panike – kaže nam dvadesetosomogodišnji Splićanin koji radi kao kuhar na Islandu već dvije godine.

Vlasti su izvjestile kako spasilačke ekipe nisu noćas morale pomagati te da nema opasnost za putovanje. U slučaju evakuacije građani će biti obaviješteni, prvo SMS porukama na sve telefone u okolici, zatim vrlo istaknutim zvučnim signalima i na kraju jednostavno kucanjem na vrata.

Islanđani su uznemireni od serije potresa, a što se tiče koronavirusa, tu su prvaci borbe protiv korone.

Njihova je zemlja odavno na karti Europe označena zelenom bojom koja pokazuje najmanjom stopu zaraze, i u njoj više ne umire ni jedan stanovnik od COVID-a.

Dok mi primjerice tjednima čekamo sekvenciranje genoma virusa kako bi utvrdili jesu li se zemljom proširili novi sojevi, njihova biofarmaceutska tvrtka deCODE Genetics zadnjih je 10 mjeseci analizirala svaki pozitivan test korone u zemlji. Cilj je jednostavan, analizirati sve kako im ne bi promaknuo ni jedan novi i problematičan soj. I ne promiče im.
