Izravan prijenos dodjela Oscara na ABC-ju gledalo je najmanje ljudi od 2008. godine, objavila je tvrtka Nielsen, specijalizirana za praćenje televizijskog rejtinga. 

Dodjelu je u nedjelju navečer gledalo oko 32,9 milijuna Amerikanca, što je četiri posto manje nego 2016. kada je prijenos pratilo 34,4 milijuna gledatelja. 

Veliki gaf na kraju svečanosti, kada je proglašen pogrešan dobitnik Oscara za najbolji film, stigao je prekasno za podizanje gledanosti. 

Televizijski analitičar Jeff Bock smatra da je gledatelja bilo manje jer je film "La La Land" bio izrazit favorit za glavne nagrade što je utjecalo na draž i napetost. "Ali smo na kraju dobili najuzbudljiviji završetak u holivudskoj povijesti", rekao je. 

Drugi razlog niže gledanosti je i činjenica da su samo dva od 20 najgledanijih filmova protekle godine bili u konkurenciji za nagradu. 

Pobjednik u kategoriji za najbolji film, "Mjesečina", na američkim blagajnama je zaradio samo 22,3 milijuna dolara što je drugi najniži utržak pobjednika u najvažnijoj kategoriji od 1978. godine.

Unatoč tome što gledanost nije bila blistava, kritike su uglavnom pozitivne, a Oscari će i ovako vjerojatno biti nagledaniji televizijski događaj godine ne računajući velika sportska natjecanja. A sam završetak nesumnjivo će se ući među nezaboravne televizijske trenutke. 

Dobre kritike dobio je i voditelj Jimmy Kimel, kojem se prvi put okušao u ovoj ulozi.

Izravan prijenos dodjela Oscara na ABC-ju gledalo je najmanje ljudi od 2008. godine, objavila je tvrtka Nielsen, specijalizirana za praćenje televizijskog rejtinga. 

Dodjelu je u nedjelju navečer gledalo oko 32,9 milijuna Amerikanca, što je četiri posto manje nego 2016. kada je prijenos pratilo 34,4 milijuna gledatelja. 

Veliki gaf na kraju svečanosti, kada je proglašen pogrešan dobitnik Oscara za najbolji film, stigao je prekasno za podizanje gledanosti. 

Televizijski analitičar Jeff Bock smatra da je gledatelja bilo manje jer je film "La La Land" bio izrazit favorit za glavne nagrade što je utjecalo na draž i napetost. "Ali smo na kraju dobili najuzbudljiviji završetak u holivudskoj povijesti", rekao je. 

Drugi razlog niže gledanosti je i činjenica da su samo dva od 20 najgledanijih filmova protekle godine bili u konkurenciji za nagradu. 

Pobjednik u kategoriji za najbolji film, "Mjesečina", na američkim blagajnama je zaradio samo 22,3 milijuna dolara što je drugi najniži utržak pobjednika u najvažnijoj kategoriji od 1978. godine.

Unatoč tome što gledanost nije bila blistava, kritike su uglavnom pozitivne, a Oscari će i ovako vjerojatno biti nagledaniji televizijski događaj godine ne računajući velika sportska natjecanja. A sam završetak nesumnjivo će se ući među nezaboravne televizijske trenutke. 

Dobre kritike dobio je i voditelj Jimmy Kimel, kojem se prvi put okušao u ovoj ulozi.
