Tužan je bio oproštaj s Ratkom Milovcem Garom, zagrebačkim Šibenčaninom, zagrebačkim muškardinom i, što je posebno važno, predsjednikom Odbora za pomoć šibenskom kraju, osnovanog trećeg dana Rujanskog rata, kada je Krešimirov grad trebao sve ili gotovo sve. I hranu, i puške, i piće, i sanitetski materijal.

Na misi u maloj crkvi sv. Ivana u Konjevratima broj okupljenih nije bio ni iz daleka primjeren veličini ljubavi, koju je Garo iskazivao prema rodnom gradu. Zato je bilo lako primijetiti njegove vršnjake iz šibenske gimnazije, poput bivšeg vaterpolskog izbornika Mile Nakića.

Dosadna zimska kiša činila je ugođaj još turobnijim. Od političara nitko, ako izuzmemo SDP-ovku Anitu Bara. Kao da se Garo nije stavio "na raspolaganje rodnom gradu već početkom rujna 1991. godine". I u nekoliko mjeseci, kao predsjednik Odbora za pomoć šibenskom kraju, na šibensku adresu poslao, vjerovali ili ne, 218 šlepera i kamiona, punih hrane i lijekova, te nemalih 600 tisuća maraka.

Ratku Milovcu su u tim trenucima vjerovali i ministar Andrija Hebrang i veleposlanik Anđelko Runjić Bambe. I plejada šibenskih umjetnika u Zagrebu: Arsen Dedić, Mišo Kovač, Vice Vukov, Gabi Novak, Krste Juras, Mate Relja… Vjerovali su mu i šibenski "pečalbari", poput Ive Svirčića Svirca, dugogodišnjeg zaposlenika hrvatskog Veleposlanstva u Washingtonu.

– Može biti sram cijeli Šibenik kako su zaboravili na Garu. Teško će se tako brzo roditi čovjek, koji je bez ikakve rezerve volio rodni grad – kazivao nam je u suzama Svirac, koji je bio među rijetkim Šibenčanima, koji su ispratili Garu na malom groblju u Konjevratima.

Tužan je bio oproštaj s Ratkom Milovcem Garom, zagrebačkim Šibenčaninom, zagrebačkim muškardinom i, što je posebno važno, predsjednikom Odbora za pomoć šibenskom kraju, osnovanog trećeg dana Rujanskog rata, kada je Krešimirov grad trebao sve ili gotovo sve. I hranu, i puške, i piće, i sanitetski materijal.

Na misi u maloj crkvi sv. Ivana u Konjevratima broj okupljenih nije bio ni iz daleka primjeren veličini ljubavi, koju je Garo iskazivao prema rodnom gradu. Zato je bilo lako primijetiti njegove vršnjake iz šibenske gimnazije, poput bivšeg vaterpolskog izbornika Mile Nakića.

Dosadna zimska kiša činila je ugođaj još turobnijim. Od političara nitko, ako izuzmemo SDP-ovku Anitu Bara. Kao da se Garo nije stavio "na raspolaganje rodnom gradu već početkom rujna 1991. godine". I u nekoliko mjeseci, kao predsjednik Odbora za pomoć šibenskom kraju, na šibensku adresu poslao, vjerovali ili ne, 218 šlepera i kamiona, punih hrane i lijekova, te nemalih 600 tisuća maraka.

Ratku Milovcu su u tim trenucima vjerovali i ministar Andrija Hebrang i veleposlanik Anđelko Runjić Bambe. I plejada šibenskih umjetnika u Zagrebu: Arsen Dedić, Mišo Kovač, Vice Vukov, Gabi Novak, Krste Juras, Mate Relja… Vjerovali su mu i šibenski "pečalbari", poput Ive Svirčića Svirca, dugogodišnjeg zaposlenika hrvatskog Veleposlanstva u Washingtonu.

– Može biti sram cijeli Šibenik kako su zaboravili na Garu. Teško će se tako brzo roditi čovjek, koji je bez ikakve rezerve volio rodni grad – kazivao nam je u suzama Svirac, koji je bio među rijetkim Šibenčanima, koji su ispratili Garu na malom groblju u Konjevratima.

Šibenčani zaboravili Garinu nesebičnost: Tužan oproštaj s Ratkom Milovcem u Konjevratima
