Slučajevi crijevne mijaze rijetki su jer ličinke i jajašca insekata uglavnom ne prežive želučanu kiselinu

Muškarac u Missouriju zbunio je liječnike nakon što su pronašli živu muhu kako zuji duboko u njegovim crijevima. Pacijent (63) je ove godine došao na rutinski pregled za prevenciju raka debelog crijeva, odnosno na kolonoskopiju prilikom koje su mu stavili kameru u probavni trakt.

Postupak je tekao normalno sve dok liječnici nisu došli do poprečnog debelog crijeva, područja na vrhu debelog crijeva, gdje su pronašli potpuno netaknutu muhu. Pacijent je rekao da nema pojma kako je insekt dospio u njegov probavni trakt i nije osjećao nikakve simptome. Fotografije pogledajte ovdje.

Rekao je liječnicima da je dan prije kolonoskopije konzumirao samo bistru tekućinu, kao što i je potrebno za čišćenje crijevnog trakta prije ove pretrage. Večer prije 24-satnog posta jeo je pizzu i zelenu salatu, ali je rekao da se ne sjeća da mu je muha bila u hrani.

U rijetkim slučajevima, muhe polože jaja u voću i povrću koja potom prežive želučanu kiselinu i izlegu se u crijevima. Liječnici su se oglasili o ovom rijetkom slučaju u American Journal of Gastroenterology.

„Ovaj slučaj predstavlja vrlo rijedak kolonoskopski nalaz. Misterij je kako je netaknuta muha pronašla put do poprečnog debelog crijeva“, kazali su.

Muhe i njihove ličinke mogu nastaniti ljudska crijeva u stanju koje se medicinski naziva crijevna mijaza koja se pojavljuje kad netko konzumira hranu koja sadrži jaja i ličinke muha. U rijetkim slučajevima, prežive kiselinu u želucu i zatim se nastane u crijevima, rastu i mutiraju u odrasle muhe.

Centar za kontrolu i prevenciju bolesti (The Centers for Disease Control) tvrdi da neki zaraženi pacijenti ne pate od simptoma, ali drugi imaju bolove u trbuhu i proljev te povraćaju. Nije bilo jasno koju je hranu pacijent (63) možda jeo, a da je bila zaražena muhama, ali ranije se to povezivalo s trulim bananama.

U slučaju zabilježenom 1980-ih, 12-omjesečna djevojčica u državi Washington dovedena je liječnicima nakon što je njezina majka vidjela „pokretne crve“ u njezinoj stolici, ali nisu viđeni u stolici ostalih članova obitelji. Istražitelji su utvrdili da je dijete hranjeno prezrelim bananama koje su držane žičanoj košari u kuhinji koja je bila magnet za muhe.

Smatraju da je dijete progutalo crve unutar voća koji su preživjeli želudčanu kiselinu i izbačeni su izmetom. Roditeljima je savjetovano da voće pokriju i da ga operu prije konzumiranja. Medicinski djelatnici upozoravaju da je mijaza češća tijekom ljetnih mjeseci, kada su i muhe češća pojava.

Slučajevi crijevne mijaze rijetki su jer ličinke i jajašca insekata uglavnom ne prežive želučanu kiselinu

Muškarac u Missouriju zbunio je liječnike nakon što su pronašli živu muhu kako zuji duboko u njegovim crijevima. Pacijent (63) je ove godine došao na rutinski pregled za prevenciju raka debelog crijeva, odnosno na kolonoskopiju prilikom koje su mu stavili kameru u probavni trakt.

Postupak je tekao normalno sve dok liječnici nisu došli do poprečnog debelog crijeva, područja na vrhu debelog crijeva, gdje su pronašli potpuno netaknutu muhu. Pacijent je rekao da nema pojma kako je insekt dospio u njegov probavni trakt i nije osjećao nikakve simptome. Fotografije pogledajte ovdje.

Rekao je liječnicima da je dan prije kolonoskopije konzumirao samo bistru tekućinu, kao što i je potrebno za čišćenje crijevnog trakta prije ove pretrage. Večer prije 24-satnog posta jeo je pizzu i zelenu salatu, ali je rekao da se ne sjeća da mu je muha bila u hrani.

U rijetkim slučajevima, muhe polože jaja u voću i povrću koja potom prežive želučanu kiselinu i izlegu se u crijevima. Liječnici su se oglasili o ovom rijetkom slučaju u American Journal of Gastroenterology.

„Ovaj slučaj predstavlja vrlo rijedak kolonoskopski nalaz. Misterij je kako je netaknuta muha pronašla put do poprečnog debelog crijeva“, kazali su.

Muhe i njihove ličinke mogu nastaniti ljudska crijeva u stanju koje se medicinski naziva crijevna mijaza koja se pojavljuje kad netko konzumira hranu koja sadrži jaja i ličinke muha. U rijetkim slučajevima, prežive kiselinu u želucu i zatim se nastane u crijevima, rastu i mutiraju u odrasle muhe.

Centar za kontrolu i prevenciju bolesti (The Centers for Disease Control) tvrdi da neki zaraženi pacijenti ne pate od simptoma, ali drugi imaju bolove u trbuhu i proljev te povraćaju. Nije bilo jasno koju je hranu pacijent (63) možda jeo, a da je bila zaražena muhama, ali ranije se to povezivalo s trulim bananama.

U slučaju zabilježenom 1980-ih, 12-omjesečna djevojčica u državi Washington dovedena je liječnicima nakon što je njezina majka vidjela „pokretne crve“ u njezinoj stolici, ali nisu viđeni u stolici ostalih članova obitelji. Slučajevi crijevne mijaze rijetki su jer ličinke i jajašca insekata uglavnom ne prežive želučanu kiselinu

Muškarac u Missouriju zbunio je liječnike nakon što su pronašli živu muhu kako zuji duboko u njegovim crijevima. Pacijent (63) je ove godine došao na rutinski pregled za prevenciju raka debelog crijeva, odnosno na kolonoskopiju prilikom koje su mu stavili kameru u probavni trakt.

Postupak je tekao normalno sve dok liječnici nisu došli do poprečnog debelog crijeva, područja na vrhu debelog crijeva, gdje su pronašli potpuno netaknutu muhu. Pacijent je rekao da nema pojma kako je insekt dospio u njegov probavni trakt i nije osjećao nikakve simptome. Fotografije pogledajte ovdje.

Rekao je liječnicima da je dan prije kolonoskopije konzumirao samo bistru tekućinu, kao što i je potrebno za čišćenje crijevnog trakta prije ove pretrage. Večer prije 24-satnog posta jeo je pizzu i zelenu salatu, ali je rekao da se ne sjeća da mu je muha bila u hrani.

U rijetkim slučajevima, muhe polože jaja u voću i povrću koja potom prežive želučanu kiselinu i izlegu se u crijevima. Liječnici su se oglasili o ovom rijetkom slučaju u American Journal of Gastroenterology.

„Ovaj slučaj predstavlja vrlo rijedak kolonoskopski nalaz. Misterij je kako je netaknuta muha pronašla put do poprečnog debelog crijeva“, kazali su.

Muhe i njihove ličinke mogu nastaniti ljudska crijeva u stanju koje se medicinski naziva crijevna mijaza koja se pojavljuje kad netko konzumira hranu koja sadrži jaja i ličinke muha. U rijetkim slučajevima, prežive kiselinu u želucu i zatim se nastane u crijevima, rastu i mutiraju u odrasle muhe.

Centar za kontrolu i prevenciju bolesti (The Centers for Disease Control) tvrdi da neki zaraženi pacijenti ne pate od simptoma, ali drugi imaju bolove u trbuhu i proljev te povraćaju. Nije bilo jasno koju je hranu pacijent (63) možda jeo, a da je bila zaražena muhama, ali ranije se to povezivalo s trulim bananama.

U slučaju zabilježenom 1980-ih, 12-omjesečna djevojčica u državi Washington dovedena je liječnicima nakon što je njezina majka vidjela „pokretne crve“ u njezinoj stolici, ali nisu viđeni u stolici ostalih članova obitelji.
