Amazon, slavna luksuzna jahta koju je posjedovao sir Winston Churchill, krenula je na dugoočekivanu restauraciju. Naime, nakon dva desetljeća mirovanja kao brod-kuća na rijeci Seini u Francuskoj, u ambiocioznom projektu legendarni brod je preko Le Havrea prebačen u renomirano britansko brodogradilište Pendennis u Falmouthu gdje će mu tim stručnjaka pokušati vratiti stari sjaj.

Podsjetimo, ova 39 metara duga jahta Churchillu je isporučena 1936. godine te mu je služila kao svojevrsno utočište, a sama jahta je odigrala ključnu ulogu tijekom Drugog svjetskog rata pomažući u repatrijaciji savezničkih trupa tijekom evakuacije iz Dunkerquea 1940. godine. Zanimljiva je i činjenica da je Amazon, iako ju je naručio sam Churchill, ostala je vlasništvo britanske vlade tijekom svog čitavog slavnog mandata.
