Međunarodni monetarni fond u utorak je malo povisio svoje izglede za globalni rast za 2023. zbog "iznenađujuće otporne" potražnje u Sjedinjenim Državama i Europi, smanjenja troškova energije i ponovnog otvaranja kineskog gospodarstva nakon što je Peking napustio svoja stroga ograničenja vezana uz COVID-19.

MMF je rekao da će globalni rast ipak pasti na 2.9 posto u 2023. sa 3.4 posto u 2022., ali njegove najnovije prognoze Svjetskog gospodarskog izgleda pokazuju poboljšanje u odnosu na predviđanje iz listopada od 2.7 posto rasta ove godine uz upozorenja da bi svijet lako mogao upasti u recesiju.

Za 2024., MMF je rekao da će se globalni rast blago ubrzati na 3.1 posto ali to je desetinka postotnog boda ispod prognoze iz listopada jer potpuni učinak oštrijih povećanja kamatnih stopa središnje banke usporava potražnju.

Glavni ekonomist MMF-a Pierre-Olivier Gourinchas rekao je da su se rizici recesije smanjili i središnje banke postižu napredak u kontroli inflacije, ali je potrebno više rada na obuzdavanju cijena i da bi novi poremećaji mogli doći zbog daljnje eskalacije rata u Ukrajini i kineske borbe protiv COVID-19.

"Moramo biti spremni očekivati neočekivano, ali to bi moglo predstavljati prekretnicu, s dosezanjem rasta i padom inflacije", rekao je Gourinchas novinarima o izgledima za 2023. godinu.

U svojim prognozama BDP-a za 2023., MMF je rekao da sada očekuje rast BDP-a SAD-a od 1.4 posto, više od 1 posto predviđenog u listopadu i nakon rasta od 2.0% u 2022. Naveo je jaču potrošnju i ulaganja od očekivane u trećem kvartalu 2022., snažno tržište rada i jake potrošačke bilance.

Rekao je da je eurozona ostvarila slične dobitke, s tim da se rast za 2023. za Europu sada predviđa na 0.7%, naspram 0.5% u izgledima za listopad, nakon rasta od 3.5 postpu 2022. MMF je rekao da se Europa brže prilagodila višim troškovima energije nego očekivano, a smanjenje cijena energije pomoglo je regiji.

Velika Britanija je bila jedina velika napredna ekonomija za koju je MMF predvidio da će biti u recesiji ove godine, s padom BDP-a od 0.6 posto dok se kućanstva bore s rastućim životnim troškovima, uključujući energiju i hipoteke. Sky News navodi da će Ujedinjeno kraljevstvo proći gore nego bilo koja druga zemlja u razvijenom svijetu - uključujući Rusiju!

MMF je znatno povećao izglede kineskog rasta za 2023., na 5.2% s 4.4% u listopadskoj prognozi, nakon što je politika "nulte borbe protiv COVID-a" 2022. smanjila stopu rasta Kine na 3 posto - tempo ispod svjetskog prosjeka po prvi put u više od 40 godina. No poticaj obnovljene mobilnosti za Kineze bit će kratkotrajan, tvrdi MMF.

Međunarodni monetarni fond u utorak je malo povisio svoje izglede za globalni rast za 2023. zbog "iznenađujuće otporne" potražnje u Sjedinjenim Državama i Europi, smanjenja troškova energije i ponovnog otvaranja kineskog gospodarstva nakon što je Peking napustio svoja stroga ograničenja vezana uz COVID-19.

MMF je rekao da će globalni rast ipak pasti na 2.9 posto u 2023. sa 3.4 posto u 2022., ali njegove najnovije prognoze Svjetskog gospodarskog izgleda pokazuju poboljšanje u odnosu na predviđanje iz listopada od 2.7 posto rasta ove godine uz upozorenja da bi svijet lako mogao upasti u recesiju.

Za 2024., MMF je rekao da će se globalni rast blago ubrzati na 3.1 posto ali to je desetinka postotnog boda ispod prognoze iz listopada jer potpuni učinak oštrijih povećanja kamatnih stopa središnje banke usporava potražnju.

Glavni ekonomist MMF-a Pierre-Olivier Gourinchas rekao je da su se rizici recesije smanjili i središnje banke postižu napredak u kontroli inflacije, ali je potrebno više rada na obuzdavanju cijena i da bi novi poremećaji mogli doći zbog daljnje eskalacije rata u Ukrajini i kineske borbe protiv COVID-19.

U svojim prognozama BDP-a za 2023., MMF je rekao da sada očekuje rast BDP-a SAD-a od 1.4 posto, više od 1 posto predviđenog u listopadu i nakon rasta od 2.0% u 2022. Naveo je jaču potrošnju i ulaganja od očekivane u trećem kvartalu 2022., snažno tržište rada i jake potrošačke bilance.

Rekao je da je eurozona ostvarila slične dobitke, s tim da se rast za 2023. za Europu sada predviđa na 0.7%, naspram 0.5% u izgledima za listopad, nakon rasta od 3.5 postpu 2022. MMF je rekao da se Europa brže prilagodila višim troškovima energije nego očekivano, a smanjenje cijena energije pomoglo je regiji.

Velika Britanija je bila jedina velika napredna ekonomija za koju je MMF predvidio da će biti u recesiji ove godine, s padom BDP-a od 0.6 posto dok se kućanstva bore s rastućim životnim troškovima, uključujući energiju i hipoteke. Međunarodni monetarni fond u utorak je malo povisio svoje izglede za globalni rast za 2023. zbog "iznenađujuće otporne" potražnje u Sjedinjenim Državama i Europi, smanjenja troškova energije i ponovnog otvaranja kineskog gospodarstva nakon što je Peking napustio svoja stroga ograničenja vezana uz COVID-19.
