U tijeku su pripremni radovi za početak sanacije i restauracije niše s kipom svetog Vlaha poviše Vanjskih vrata od Pila, a predviđeno vrijeme trajanja radova je 60 dana.

Veća oštećenja na niši i kipu svetog Vlaha uočena su još 2020. godine kada su, zbog mogućeg pada većeg dijela kamene skulpture i sprečavanja daljnjeg uništenja, izvedeni preventivni konzervatorsko-restauratorski radovi. Detaljnim pregledom ustanovljeno je kako je površina skulpture velikim dijelom erodirala te joj se gubi izvorna forma. Glava kipa svetog Vlaha je odlomljena, na vratu se nalazi nekoliko pukotina, vidljiva je pukotina na biskupskoj mitri te na dijelu kipa od ramena prema prsima. Brada kipa je odlomljena te naknadno pričvršćena brončanim klinom. Dio skulpture ispod štapa zahvaćen je malahitnim zelenilom, kao i manji dio vijenca dok je manja površina kamena prekrivena crnom skramom.

Projektnu dokumentaciju za opsežne konzervatorsko-restauratorske radove, sukladno stupnju oštećenja, izradio je Studio OEL d.o.o. glavnog projektanta akademskog kipara Vinka Pešorde koji će ujedno i izvoditi radove, a za koje je dobiveno pozitivno rješenje Ministarstva kulture i medija, Uprave za zaštitu kulturne baštine, Konzervatorskog odjela u Dubrovniku.

U tijeku su pripremni radovi za početak sanacije i restauracije niše s kipom svetog Vlaha poviše Vanjskih vrata od Pila, a predviđeno vrijeme trajanja radova je 60 dana.

Veća oštećenja na niši i kipu svetog Vlaha uočena su još 2020. godine kada su, zbog mogućeg pada većeg dijela kamene skulpture i sprečavanja daljnjeg uništenja, izvedeni preventivni konzervatorsko-restauratorski radovi. Detaljnim pregledom ustanovljeno je kako je površina skulpture velikim dijelom erodirala te joj se gubi izvorna forma. Glava kipa svetog Vlaha je odlomljena, na vratu se nalazi nekoliko pukotina, vidljiva je pukotina na biskupskoj mitri te na dijelu kipa od ramena prema prsima. Brada kipa je odlomljena te naknadno pričvršćena brončanim klinom. Dio skulpture ispod štapa zahvaćen je malahitnim zelenilom, kao i manji dio vijenca dok je manja površina kamena prekrivena crnom skramom.

Projektnu dokumentaciju za opsežne konzervatorsko-restauratorske radove, sukladno stupnju oštećenja, izradio je Studio OEL d.o.o. glavnog projektanta akademskog kipara Vinka Pešorde koji će ujedno i izvoditi radove, a za koje je dobiveno pozitivno rješenje Ministarstva kulture i medija, Uprave za zaštitu kulturne baštine, Konzervatorskog odjela u Dubrovniku.
