Bol ili nelagoda na desnoj strani trbuha tik ispod rebara mogući je znak da je jetra oštećena i možda prvi vidljivi simptom bolesti masne jetre, koja često nema simptome. Većina ljudi razvit će samo prvu fazu masne jetre, a vrlo često toga i nisu svjesni. Nealkoholna masna bolest jetre (NAFLD) smatra se jednom od najčešćih bolesti jetre u razvijenim zemljama, a učestalost u Europi je između 30 i 40 posto. I oko 60 posto bolesnika s dijabetesom tipa 2 ima NAFLD. Kada se simptomi pojave, najčešće su to umor, slabost, gubitak težine i apetita, mučnina, bol u trbuhu, paučinaste krvne žile te žutilo kože i očiju. Međutim, to može već biti uznapredovala faza bolesti, piše Živim.

Masnoća i upala

Ako se otkrije i počne liječiti u ranoj fazi, može se smanjiti količina masti u jetri i zaustaviti pogoršanje bolesti do ciroze. Tada su učestali simptomi poput otečenog trbuha i nogu, ekstremnog umora i mentalne zbunjenosti. Ako su stolica ili urin tamni ili čak crni, treba potražiti hitnu medicinsku pomoć. Masna jetra često se dijagnosticira usput i nakon toga je važno pratiti količinu ožiljaka na tom organu jer je to važan znak koliko je bolest uznapredovala. Glavni lijek za NAFLD je zdrava prehrana i više fizičke aktivnosti. To su općeniti savjeti, ali oni značajno smanjuju masnoću u jetri i upalu. Ako treba, važno je i smršavjeti. Konkretno, oni koji imaju prekomjernu težinu, ako izgube sedam do deset posto tjelesne mase, mogu zaustaviti ili čak regenerirati oštećenu jetru.

Mediteranska prehrana

Brojna istraživanja, među kojima se ističe glasovita PREDIMED studija, dokazuju da je mediteranska prehrana povezana s nižom prevalencijom NAFLD-a. Stoga se savjetuje jesti povrće, ribu i maslinovo ulje jer su bogati omega-3 nezasićenim masnim kiselinama, cjelovite žitarice zbog obilja vlakana i povrće koje je izvor polifenola i brojnih drugih biološki aktivnih spojeva. Suprotno uvjerenju da masti pogoduju masnoj jetri, veća je opasnost u fruktozi i zaslađenim napicima te drugim jednostavnim ugljikohidratima. Naravno, masna, začinjena i prerađena hrana nije poželjna ni u kojem slučaju, ali oni s masnom jetrom neće pogoršati svoje stanje ako jedu zdrave masti.

Metabolizam masti

Valja znati da akutna masna bolest jetre nije isto što i NAFLD. Akutna masna jetra može se pojaviti iznenada tijekom trudnoće ili zbog određenih lijekova ili toksina. Masna jetra posljedica je nakupljanja masti u jetri koja prelazi pet posto ukupne težine jetrenog tkiva. Uzrokuju je brojni urođeni i stečeni poremećaji metabolizma masti, no svaku masnu jetru treba pratiti i nastojati izliječiti, piše Živim.

Bol ili nelagoda na desnoj strani trbuha tik ispod rebara mogući je znak da je jetra oštećena i možda prvi vidljivi simptom bolesti masne jetre, koja često nema simptome. Većina ljudi razvit će samo prvu fazu masne jetre, a vrlo često toga i nisu svjesni. Nealkoholna masna bolest jetre (NAFLD) smatra se jednom od najčešćih bolesti jetre u razvijenim zemljama, a učestalost u Europi je između 30 i 40 posto. I oko 60 posto bolesnika s dijabetesom tipa 2 ima NAFLD. Kada se simptomi pojave, najčešće su to umor, slabost, gubitak težine i apetita, mučnina, bol u trbuhu, paučinaste krvne žile te žutilo kože i očiju. Međutim, to može već biti uznapredovala faza bolesti, piše Živim.

Masnoća i upala

Ako se otkrije i počne liječiti u ranoj fazi, može se smanjiti količina masti u jetri i zaustaviti pogoršanje bolesti do ciroze. Tada su učestali simptomi poput otečenog trbuha i nogu, ekstremnog umora i mentalne zbunjenosti. Ako su stolica ili urin tamni ili čak crni, treba potražiti hitnu medicinsku pomoć. Masna jetra često se dijagnosticira usput i nakon toga je važno pratiti količinu ožiljaka na tom organu jer je to važan znak koliko je bolest uznapredovala. Glavni lijek za NAFLD je zdrava prehrana i više fizičke aktivnosti. To su općeniti savjeti, ali oni značajno smanjuju masnoću u jetri i upalu. Ako treba, važno je i smršavjeti. Konkretno, oni koji imaju prekomjernu težinu, ako izgube sedam do deset posto tjelesne mase, mogu zaustaviti ili čak regenerirati oštećenu jetru.

Brojna istraživanja, među kojima se ističe glasovita PREDIMED studija, dokazuju da je mediteranska prehrana povezana s nižom prevalencijom NAFLD-a. Stoga se savjetuje jesti povrće, ribu i maslinovo ulje jer su bogati omega-3 nezasićenim masnim kiselinama, cjelovite žitarice zbog obilja vlakana i povrće koje je izvor polifenola i brojnih drugih biološki aktivnih spojeva. Suprotno uvjerenju da masti pogoduju masnoj jetri, veća je opasnost u fruktozi i zaslađenim napicima te drugim jednostavnim ugljikohidratima. Naravno, masna, začinjena i prerađena hrana nije poželjna ni u kojem slučaju, ali oni s masnom jetrom neće pogoršati svoje stanje ako jedu zdrave masti.

Metabolizam masti

Valja znati da akutna masna bolest jetre nije isto što i NAFLD. Akutna masna jetra može se pojaviti iznenada tijekom trudnoće ili zbog određenih lijekova ili toksina. Masna jetra posljedica je nakupljanja masti u jetri koja prelazi pet posto ukupne težine jetrenog tkiva. Uzrokuju je brojni urođeni i stečeni poremećaji metabolizma masti, no svaku masnu jetru treba pratiti i nastojati izliječiti, piše Živim.

Pripazite ukoliko osjetite bol ispod desnog rebra, možda imate ozbiljan problem s jednim organom

Bol ili nelagoda na desnoj strani trbuha tik ispod rebara mogući je znak da je jetra oštećena i možda prvi vidljivi simptom bolesti masne jetre, koja često nema simptome. Većina ljudi razvit će samo prvu fazu masne jetre, a vrlo često toga i nisu svjesni. Nealkoholna masna bolest jetre (NAFLD) smatra se jednom od najčešćih bolesti jetre u razvijenim zemljama, a učestalost u Europi je između 30 i 40 posto. I oko 60 posto bolesnika s dijabetesom tipa 2 ima NAFLD. Kada se simptomi pojave, najčešće su to umor, slabost, gubitak težine i apetita, mučnina, bol u trbuhu, paučinaste krvne žile te žutilo kože i očiju. Međutim, to može već biti uznapredovala faza bolesti, piše Živim.

Masnoća i upala

Ako se otkrije i počne liječiti u ranoj fazi, može se smanjiti količina masti u jetri i zaustaviti pogoršanje bolesti do ciroze. Tada su učestali simptomi poput otečenog trbuha i nogu, ekstremnog umora i mentalne zbunjenosti. Ako su stolica ili urin tamni ili čak crni, treba potražiti hitnu medicinsku pomoć. Masna jetra često se dijagnosticira usput i nakon toga je važno pratiti količinu ožiljaka na tom organu jer je to važan znak koliko je bolest uznapredovala. Glavni lijek za NAFLD je zdrava prehrana i više fizičke aktivnosti. To su općeniti savjeti, ali oni značajno smanjuju masnoću u jetri i upalu. Ako treba, važno je i smršavjeti. Konkretno, oni koji imaju prekomjernu težinu, ako izgube sedam do deset posto tjelesne mase, mogu zaustaviti ili čak regenerirati oštećenu jetru.
